Q: How should I format my book to submit it to you?
A: A raw manuscript in Microsoft Word is best. As for formatting, it is preferred that the document is not heavily stylized. Spacing and styling will happen by our designers when we import your document into our design programs. We do however prefer you to indicate any text you wish to appear in italics and significant breaks such as chapters or sections.
Q: What file format do you accept for photos or illustrations?
A: Photos and illustrations for inclusion in your book should be in one of the following formats: (.tiff, .eps, .pdf, or .ai). It is important that these images be a high enough resolution for reproduction (300 pixels per inch or higher is the preferred size). Vector files that might have fonts in them should have all fonts covered to paths to be sure your image retains the same look you desire.
Q: Can my photos or illustrations print in color?
A: Yes, color photos can be printed. Color printing is significantly more costly. One solution to minimize this is to keep all of your photos clustered within a section of the book. This allows you to print most of the book as one color and only a few pages in full color.
